Quality Europe FM

Whatever view you may hold about the programming, QEFM was most certainly
a pioneer in satellite radio. The station was launched as part of a project
to acquire a local UK broadcast licence. It was heard on Astra 1A and soon had,
according to independent research, an audience equal to the size of a
medium sized UK terrestrial radio station. However, even with such research,
QEFM failed to get advertisers as it wasn't part of the "system".
Initially broadcasting from a converted loft in Cheltenham,
the station re-located to Camberley. Even though the station closed down
it did launch a number of radio careers and many can still be heard on UK stations today.

Below are some of the sounds of QEFM.
