Mike Childs remembers pre-launch days at Capital Radio

Kenny Everett and Dave Cash April 1st 1974 Breakfast Show

Kenny Everett and Dave Cash hosted the Breakfast Show soon after the station launched.
They worked together previously on Radio London 266 'Big L' and their double act became
a big hit with the listeners very quickly.
This success continued when their partnership on air was re-started by Capital Radio.
On April 1st 1974, Kenny and Cash decided to present the show on Capital as if they were
still on the Radio London ship. They enlisted the help of Tommy Vance and Duncan Johnson,
and you can hear that a good time was had by everybody.
The last 35 minutes can be heard below. This recording has been air checked.
